Parents and educators are forever looking for material that will capture and stimulate the imaginations of their children and students. What parent hasn’t watched his or her child go through phases of fascination for several different occupations? "When I grow up, I wanna be a firefighter … a police officer … a jet pilot … a doctor … a cowboy (or cowgirl!)!"

  DreamQuest allows parents and teachers to expose the youth in their care to those occupations in an entertaining and positive way, while carefully handling ethnicity, roles and values. The merits of hard work, diligence, helping others and finding a productive place in a diverse society are emphasized.

This is an experiential program, a gently buffered reality series. Emphasis is placed upon camera point-of-view experiences, so that the viewers feel they are actually participating in the activity.

Each episode capitalizes on the subject matter: For instance, the "Police Officers" episode is designed to include instruction on drugs and child safety. Young people are enthralled with these programs while getting a dose of good values and a vision for their future.
